    Very good

The hotel was a very short distance from the beach and bed was very comfortable

    Parking, or lack there of.

    Exceptional

The room was clean and fresh with modern decor. The staff were all really friendly and couldn't do enough to help. I went with my mother who is 70 and the hotel is very geared towards the older customer. There was entertainment in the bar on Sat, which was good fun. It's also literally a 5 min walk to the seafront so very convenient and also just 5 mins from the winter garden and congress theatres.

Two things that would have made the hotel perfect. There is no on site parking so you have to park in the street. The hotel did give us a permit and we had no trouble finding a space, but suspect this might be harder in peak season. Also while the food wasn't bad - it wasn't really what I would class restaurant standard. It was decent enough but I dud ask for my steak nedium rare and it came out grey. But that is being picky because the meat was tender with a good flavour.

    Fabulous

The hotel was welcoming , friendly and looked after me very well. I was using it as a base for a conference and the facilities were just right for the purpose I had for the visit. Thank you and I expect to return in the future.

I was down in Eastbourne for a Rotary Conference, the hotel is just opposite the Conference Hall, and Theatre, and very near good restaurants.

    Exceptional

friendliness of the staff with nothing being too much trouble, Food was very good with an extremely good choice on the menu daily. Bar plus a small lounge enabled people to mingle with other guests and enjoy the entertainment if wanted or have a quiet relaxing evening.

The beds in our room were a bit harder than we are used to.

    Fabulous

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpfull in making our stay both comfortable and relaxing and went out of their way to assist with an elderly relative and who changed our room to aid us with easier access.

    Very good

My parents' "Delux" room was very nice, our normal double was just fine. The breakfasts were nice (except for some re-heated baked beans one morning which had dried out & looked horrible). Good location for the theatres & for the seafront although it isn't on the front. It was a nice quiet hotel (although it was full) you didn't hear the other guests at night, so got a good sleep.

The "entertainment" in the bar on Sunday evening was pretty awful!

    Fabulous

The friendly and helpful staff also the choice and well cooked and well served food.

    Fabulous

A clean, comfortable hotel, quiet and ideally situated. Staff very kind and friendly.

A good choice of food but looked very dull on the plate as the vegetables were overcooked - but some people like them that way! The hotel is a clever conversion from a terrace of three large houses and includes a lift and disabled rooms; however the layout can appear labyrinthine due to the fire doors and the differences in levels (not all served by the lift).

    Exceptional

It was our first stay at the Wilmington Hotel Eastbourne, we found it to be clean, well kept, the room we had was comfortable, nice clean bathroom, which had a shower and bath, the one critical point we had that the bath did not have grab rails either on the bath or the wall, this would have been better and safer, especially for the not so mobile residents, the food was excellent nice dining room, and very pleasant staff, all in all a jolly good 3 star hotel,

A very nice comfortable hotel, with all the amenities within walking distance. The free parking in some areas can be a little difficult to find especially outside the hotel.we stayed in November so i should think that in summertime it could be worse.

This is one of the friendliest hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff were very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The room was immaculate and the food both at lunchtime and evening was excellent. I found the hotel and the meals excellent value for money. The breakfast which was included in the price was fantastic - lots of choice.

It was a lovely experience. We only stayed one night but it was very pleasant. The staff were really nice. the hotel has a welcoming happy decor, the breakfast was lovely, and the room that we had was clean and big. We also were able to park outside the front door (for free!). Great job Wilmington Hotel. Would definitely stay again.
